Increasing Employee Productivity with Security Cameras
Most business owners are always wondering about employee productivity. Very often, employees do not put in as much effort or working hours as they are supposed to be putting in. Plus, owners have no way of monitoring their employees to see if they are being unproductive in any way. Installing surveillance equipment and cameras are a good way to increase employee productivity across organizations.
When they are watched
When employees have the knowledge they are being monitored by their boss, they will put in more effort and work hours. Employee productivity remains the primary concern for all organizations and installing security cameras in the workplace can help rectify the situation. If an employee is loitering around a colleague’s cubicle or just idling away time by browsing the Internet, it will all show up on the camera. Once they know their activities are being recorded on camera, employees will begin to take their work far more seriously and employee productivity will improve. After all, no one wants to be caught red-handed indulging in unproductive activities. If you wish to increase employee productivity across your organization then install security cameras at strategic points in the work area.
Scope for performance improvement
Another significant advantage of installing security cameras is the ability to monitor performance and employee productivity regularly. This way, you can provide valuable feedback to employees on areas of improvement. This in itself can increase employee productivity. If your employee has performed well and you see it on the security camera, you can appreciate the effort as and when it happens. This instantly boosts employee morale and helps motivate employees to deliver better quality work. Thus, security cameras can enhance employee productivity a lot.
Training references
Another benefit of having security cameras installed in an office is that you can use captured footage for training purposes. If you are providing a training session on employee productivity, you can use camera footage to show processes which are good and which are faulty. Thus, your videos captured on camera can prove to be invaluable as references of good procedures. It helps increase employee productivity even among new recruits of the firm.
Showing clients work in progress
Most clients appreciate it if you can show them work in progress about a particular project. This keeps them aware about project delivery schedules. Using captured footage from security cameras, you can show employee productivity on a per minute basis to your clients. This not only helps increase employee productivity but also impresses your clients, which means you are more likely to get repeat business from them.

Employee productivity is indeed the most important issue for a business success. I can agree with installing surveillance cameras in their workplace in order to see who is working and who is wasting time. Of course, the surveillance cameras is not the solution for all the companies; it also depends on the company profile and activity. If employees are working on computer, surveillance cameras can only show for how long they sat at the computer, but cannot show what exactly they did (maybe they sat there all day long but, they were playing online). Of course, there are computer monitoring software for this, too. Companies must do all the necessary things to improve their business processes and performances.
